We are located at Taman Sea SS23, Petaling Jaya.
In this Free Guide, we cover the main concerns many people have about chiropractic care, so you can make an informed decision if chiropractic care is good for you.
Chiropractic care is a holistic approach to health that focuses on aligning the spine and nervous system to promote overall well-being. At Insight Chiropractic & Rehabilitation, we specialise in chiropractic care, focusing on:
When tackling physical pain and injury, it is always important for us to get to the root cause to determine the right process of rehabilitation, with the aim to restore and improve physical function and mobility.
At Insight, we are passionate about making sure that a personalised treatment plan is tailored to your needs and goals by our physiotherapist. We utilise a variety of techniques and treatment approaches:
Then there’s also dry needling. Ever tried to massage away a deep and stubborn muscle knot without success? No matter what you do, you get only a temporary relief before the pain comes back. In this scenario, dry needling might be your answer to that bothersome pain for good.
Dry Needling therapy involves the insertion of thin filamentous needles (the same needles used in acupuncture therapy) into trigger points within muscles to relieve tension and promote healing.
Our skilled practitioners utilise this technique to target specific areas of discomfort and improves muscle function. Whether you are struggling with tightness, stiffness or persistent pain, dry needling therapy can provide effective relief for a wide variety of conditions such as:
1. Myofascial Pain Syndrome
2. Headaches
3. Neck Pain & Stiffness
4. Lower Back Pain
5. Tennis & Golfer’s Elbow
6. Rotator Cuff Muscle Strain
7. Sciatica
8. Plantar Fasciitis
Would you believe us if we told you that Tecar therapy is as relaxing as a spa treatment? Tecar therapy is an innovative and advanced form of electrotherapy that uses radiofrequency energy to promote soft tissue healing and pain relief. It’s like giving your body a gentle warm massage to soothe the aches.
This non-invasive treatment can help accelerate the body’s natural healing process by generating endogenous heat within the targeted tissues. By increasing circulation, reducing inflammation and stimulating cellular repair, Tecar Therapy effectively aids in:
1. Sports Injuries (Ligament Sprains & Muscle Strains)
2. Post-Surgical (Joint Replacement, ACL, Meniscus Repair)
3. Slipped Disc
4. Sciatica
5. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
6. Osteoarthritis
7. Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy
8. Patella Tendinopathy
9. Achilles Tendinopathy
10. Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)
You’ve undergone the treatments above, but you need that extra kick to help stimulate your body’s healing process. We have just the thing for you!
The Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), shockwave therapy in short, is a cutting-edge tool that delivers high-energy acoustic waves to targeted areas of the body, enhancing the body’s natural healing processes and relieving pain.
This is also a non-invasive treatment, which is effective in a wide variety of chronic conditions by increasing blood flow through the formation of new blood vessels (neovascularization), reducing inflammation, promoting tissue regeneration and alleviating pain by desensitising nerve fibres responsible for the transmission of pain signals to the brain:
1. Tennis Elbow
2. Golfer's Elbow
3. Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy
4. Patella Tendinopathy
5. Achilles Tendinopathy
6. Knee Osteoarthritis
7. Plantar Fasciitis
8. Heel Spur
9. Adhesive Capsulitis (Frozen Shoulder)
10. Myofascial Pain Syndrome
When you come in for your first visit with us, it’s all about getting to know you. It's like meeting for the first time and sharing about each other over starters. Sharing your medical and health history, past injuries and any discomfort or pain that you’re experiencing helps us to create a personalised treatment plan that is tailored just for you. As you experience this stage, you will also get to know a little more about us and what we do best!
This step involves a thorough evaluation of your health condition to develop a personalised care plan. We will conduct a posture analysis and perform a physical examination to determine the necessary and best combination of treatments to address your specific affected areas. For more severe injuries such as trauma or a possible spinal deformity, we would refer you to take an x-ray or MRI scans for further diagnostics. It is also your turn to ask us any questions that you may have as we develop your treatment plan.
Now we come to the main course. We have an initial assessment of your pain and concerns and this is where we begin your journey to recovery through the adjustment process, where our skilled chiropractors will utilise gentle and precise techniques to make corrections to misalignments in your spine and joints. By going through this step, we will help your body restore proper spinal function and keep in line with our goal to bring balance to your body, alleviate pain and promote overall well-being.
After that, comes dessert! You’ve gone through the process of communicating, understanding and treating your discomfort, our job is now to help keep you in the best shape possible. Ideally, we help you transition to maintenance chiropractic care where we build this into your regular health routine. The same way you visit a dentist every six months, coming to us as needed or otherwise once bi-monthly to make sure your discomfort doesn’t come back. By incorporating this practice, we will help you work on preventing future injuries, promoting healthy posture and enhancing your body’s natural ability to heal, helping you keep doing the things you love comfortably!

I have been with Dr Sara since my first visit. She is so friendly and patient with me during the consultation. Not only adjustments, she also taught me some exercise to strengthen my back muscle. My back pain eased, and currently on regular maintenance basis.

I was handled with care by Dr. Joseph for over a year and he's just amazing! Everytime I have a problem, he would help me fix it and explain what the cause was and what I can do to avoid such things happening again in a very clear way. The staff there are also super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend to come here and get your backs checked.

While often associated with alleviating back pain, chiropractic adjustments extend beyond treating back issues and also address a wide range of neuromusculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, shoulder pain, knee pain, sports injuries and more.
So, you’re wondering how many visits it will take from feeling like a rusty robot to a well-oiled machine? This depends on the severity of your condition, overall health status and treatment goals. Our chiropractors will create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals, which may include a series of sessions to achieve the best results.
During an adjustment, the popping or crack that you hear is actually the release of gas bubbles within our joints - similar to opening a can of Coca Cola for example. It may sound terrifying to some, but those who have experienced a chiropractic adjustment will know that this is the sound of relief. With the release of these gas bubbles, the built-up pressure in the joint is relieved and restores its mobility.
We live by the saying - ‘prevention is better than cure’. Beyond pain relief, regular chiropractic care can support your body’s natural ability to heal and ensure that you function at your daily best. Chiropractic care also acts as a proactive measure to nip any underlying health concerns relating to your neuromusculoskeletal system in the bud.
Chiropractic care is a wholesome and holistic approach, a whole-body tune, you may call it. We look at how you move, what you eat and even your training regime to guide you towards feeling your best to optimise your sports performance. To improve competitive sports performance, chiropractic care is essential as it focuses on fine-tuning nerve and muscle function, and spinal alignment.
With these chiropractic care can help with relieving pain, preventing future injuries, improve range of motion, coordination and balance, and enhance the recovery of the body. We will discuss with you to tailor a care plan, whether it is for faster recovery or just to feel stronger.
A pregnant mother can start chiropractic care at any point during their pregnancy journey. Chiropractic care helps with pregnancy-related discomforts such as lower back pain, pelvic pain, headaches and the list goes on. Chiropractic care is also great in restoring and maintaining healthy pelvic alignment for optimal foetal positioning, which may facilitate smoother labour - each mother’s ideal delivery experience!
It is essential for expecting mothers to consult with a chiropractor who specialises in prenatal care to thoroughly assess both the mother and the little one. Ultimately, we will recommend a plan to address any concerns during pregnancy.
Yes! We do provide complimentary parking for our patients, within walking distance from our centre. We understand the importance of convenience and accessibility, which is why we strive to make your visit as hassle free as possible.
